How Long Will a Power Station Run a Refrigerator?

A refrigerator does not draw one constant watt number all day. It cycles on and off, starts with a compressor surge, and works harder in a warm room or when the door opens repeatedly. Use the label or a plug-in watt meter where possible, then size with margin.

A 1kWh station can be a short-window fridge helper if surge headroom is sufficient. A 2kWh station is the more comfortable essentials tier for fridge, router, lights, and phones. A 3kWh+ expandable system is where longer outage planning begins, but transfer hardware and circuits need a qualified electrician.

If the station trips when the compressor starts, the runtime calculation never matters. Match both continuous watts and surge watts, and leave margin for other devices plugged in at the same time.
